Grade 8 2012 - Hundert Wasser

 In this project you are going to study the life and times of an artist named Hundertwasser. This will give you an idea of the concept of context. Why does an artist make art in certain ways? Why does an artist make certain choices about materials and ideas? By researching Hundertwasser’s life and intentions and ideas, students will be able to identify aspects of the artist’s philosophy, style and techniques and apply them to their own work.

Using watercolour paints, pigment inks and watercolour pencils, students will create their own creative composition and paint their work utilising the techniques and style employed by Hundertwasser. Other materials such as stitching and shiny paper may also be used, You will produce a polished and informed work for display
